Thank you to everyone who joined our Zoom AGM meeting which went very smoothly. Thank you Luke for the work in the background to set this up. Welcome to our new Committee members! There are still a few small roles unfilled, and any help would be appreciated to fill these, even temporarily. Vacant positions can be found here. All positions can be shared with friends and are not especially time consuming. Full handover and support will be provided.
This year we will be holding our AGM via Zoom meetings. To attend, please register to receive a meeting invitation. We have a Special Resolution at the AGM to vote on an updated constitution which you can read about in our April 2020 Newsletter .
All Committee Positions become vacant at the Annual General Meeting and all positions are elected at this time. Many of the positions are small and can be done in your own time. Any help will ease the load on the current parents who are working hard to improve our centre.
The 2019/20 Annual Report is available to view, and will be endorsed at the AGM.
All formal training is cancelled for the time being. The coaching team will work on providing recommendations for individual training for those who wish to keep fit and active.
Our presentation day will unfortunately be postponed. Current thinking is that we will hold this at Registration Day in September. Some virtual award announcements will be made – just working through how to make this a little bit fun (anyone with skills and ideas on live-streaming or video editing please get in touch. Your help would be gratefully received and we can divide & conquer – plus you get a sneak peak on award winners )
We expect the AGM to go ahead as planned in May but of course will make more decisions closer to the time with up to date information. Email will follow soon with details on available committee roles. I’m sure you are all mega keen to join and get your hands on our new club gear!
Sadly a decision has been made to cancel the State Championships this weekend. Whilst this is really disappointing for our qualifiers, it is the right decision for the officials, organisers and safety of all athletes and families. Our little athletes have many more years of competition ahead of them, and their preparation continues to form the foundations of their sporting careers.
Our normal HDLAC comp will proceed as planned. Please use your best judgement when determining your own attendance based on current wellness, recent travel or potential exposure to anyone testing positive with Covid-19.
We wish all our State Reps the best of luck for the Championships during 14/15th March.
Normal competition will be held that Saturday morning for the remainder of our athletes. We are getting pbs galore at the moment so don’t miss out!
