We take a short break over Easter, with Winter training and Cross Country events planned throughout April to August. Watch this space and your inbox for further details coming soon.
2021 has gotten off to a great start, with lots of exciting events to come. We wish our U9-U12 qualifiers luck for the State Championships Qualifier event on the 6/7th February. Our Masters athletes will be competing at the State Masters on 13/14 February. Our Septathlon event is also coming up on the 13th February where we celebrate our best ‘all rounders’. U13+ will have the opportunity to participate in the ANSW State Championships on the 12-14th March, as well as nominate for the LANSW Youth Championships on 27/28 March. Our centre competition is scheduled to continue every Saturday until the 27th March before rolling into the Cross Country season. It’s never too late to register for Athletics, so if you have friends wanting to improve their fitness in 2021, send them our way.
Our season gets underway this Friday at Foxglove Oval with Northern Districts. Full training resumes from Monday 11th Jan. We have lots of great events on the calendar, featuring our club Multi Event (Septathlon), Seeded events, and Masters Interclubs. See Season Program for details. Registrations are still open, at a discounted rate of $120 for the remainder of the season (inc. Cross Country), so bring along your winter sport friends to get them ready for the next season.
On the 19th December, we move our centre competition to the Sydney Olympic Park Warm Up Arena. Registration is open to ALL Registered athletes from Tots to Masters. Tots to U8 will follow a set program. U9+ can select the events they wish to participate in, ‘choose your own adventure’ style. All Track Events will be seeded based on Season Best Performances. Performances will count towards attendance, Star Awards and U9-U12 LANSW State Qualifying marks. Personal Bests and Centre Records will not be eligible.
Our Season is underway, but it’s never too late to Register. If you are thinking of joining Hornsby District for some fun this summer, everything you need to know can be found in this Helpful document.
