The Little Athletics Zone Championships is an opportunity to compete in a formal event on a tartan track with our neighbouring centres:
- Northern Districts
- Ku-ring-gai
- Mosman
- Manly-Warringah
All athletes aged U7 to U18 are eligible and encouraged to participate. 7s to 11s can compete in up to 4 events plus a relay, U12 to U18 can compete in up to 6 events plus a relay. There is no minimum standard, however parents must commit to complete one duty at the carnival, such as assisting with marshalling or helping with a field event.

Centre Information and Guidelines
Progression to Region: U7 athletes do not progress past the Zone Championship. At the zone carnival there are six automatic places which progress through to Region. Then a maximum of four next best qualifiers taken from both Zone carnivals will also be taken through to our region carnival. Note that for sprint and hurdle finals, all 8 finalists will qualify for Region.
